Friday Find: Fabulous Friends And The Future

I have a fabulous friend.....We've known each other for more than 20 years, and yet she is quite a bit younger than I. We live in different states, but we get to see each other pretty often, for which I am very grateful. Although our lives are very different, because of our age difference, she is such an inspiration to me. When I look at her, or read the blogs of some of you who are college students or in your 20's, it gives me such hope. This post is for you ladies.....

You all are the women who will raise polite children, the ones who will teach your precious ones about their faith informing every part of their being...not just something they pick and choose from or just a building they are forced to go to once a week. **     You are the women who will take the traditions you were taught by your mothers and grandmothers and make them your own. You will appreciate the generations that have gone before. You will be the generation that gives those of us who are older the assurance that there is hope for the future.

You are amazing!

You are a true "find".....not just on Friday, but every day!!

Love,
Liz (The Classic Preppy)

** Friday update: A friend sent me this just now and I think it fits here:

2 Corinthians 3:18 (from The Message)

(16-18) Whenever, though, they turn to face God as Moses did, God removes the veil and there they are—face-to-face! They suddenly recognize that God is a living, personal presence, not a piece of chiseled stone. And when God is personally present, a living Spirit, that old, constricting legislation is recognized as obsolete. We're free of it! All of us! Nothing between us and God, our faces shining with the brightness of his face. And so we are transfigured much like the Messiah, our lives gradually becoming brighter and more beautiful as God enters our lives and we become like him.
